"I highly recommend both one-on-one mentoring sessions, and Zoom art classes with artist, educator and naturopath, Michael Long. He has a remarkable ability to listen without judgement and to hold space for both fears and aspirations. He will help you identify your dreams and life path, while honoring wherever you are along your spiritual journey. Michael has the unique gift of deep, intuitive insight and provides gentle nudges to help you open up your heart to your true self. The art classes are perfect, whether you are a seasoned artist, or someone like me –- looking to open the vistas of my mind and heart through the creative process and discover and express my own unique love and light."

I just want to say thank you so much for the call. I’m blown away by your insights and kindness. You brought so much peace into the space as we talked and I was able to find my balance again and to even laugh about it.

I took my first class with Michael as I was facing some personal issues with my physical health and needed something to support and sooth my mental health. It wasn't only the art prompts, creative exercises or the artists work that he introduced me to that made the class my favorite part of the week, it was the unit we all became through his leadership and open way of teaching. We supported, inspired and shared with each other. I turned out some beautiful work but more importantly, I felt a part of something bigger than myself. It was such a pleasure to come to class and I continue to use the lessons and inspiration I found when I now find myself creating. I've never found another class of it's equal and that is in thanks to Michael's kindness, inclusiveness and openness that comes through his teaching.

"Michael and I had several meetings about my life and my work as I was writing my book, Awakening to the Sacred Love of the Twin Flame. He is a marvelous listener and tremendously supportive. He has an inner spiritual strength that makes a dialogue with him a special event. I highly recommend a conversation with him to anyone who wants to explore where they are going in their life."

"Michael is skilled at nudging one towards internal, then external creativity. My inner 5 year old feels fed. And my inner adult feels inspired and able to venture into new territory. I’m exceedingly grateful."

One of the problems with retiring after a 30 year teaching career is what do I do with all this wonderful time? I'm already a musician and writer which gives me plenty to do, but I wanted to also see how I might fare in the visual arts. That's when I sought and found a wonderful, relaxed and highly inspiring art teacher in the person of Michael Long. When I entered my first class with him at Santa Fe Community College, I was pleased to see him get us together for a group meditation where we cleared our minds of all the daily thinking. Once he got us to a creative zone, he asked us to do a little writing and then asked us to paint. He said from the start, and I particularly liked this, "Don't do a good painting. Don't fuss just put paint on the canvas. Do a bad painting. Don't worry, just slosh the colors on and try to let the painting you want to paint emerge." I was a bit dazzled that the teacher wanted us to do a bad piece, but there was a method to this madness. He wanted us to find joy right away, not expertise or our great passion, but joy. The canvas came alive. I had no inhibitions and began to look forward to what would emerge from this structureless instruction. But I found that this is what art is all about, not artifice, but joy, the joy of creation like God playing with clay. I've gone on to take many lessons with him online and I am quite pleased with what I have learned and produced. I am very grateful to Michael for opening up the door to the visual arts for me. I paint now almost everyday.

“(Michael) Long transports you to far away places, he reads some poetry, shares a meditation, shows portfolios of artists, gets your juices flowing, surprises you with some out of the box projects…It’s a class for my psyche.”
